I qualified as a physiotherapist from Sheffield Hallam University in 1995.

Since then I have worked extensively in musculoskeletal physiotherapy (that's physio for any aspect of the muscles, bones, joints and soft tissues) gaining valuable experience in sport, professional theatre, police rehab and both NHS and private sector physiotherapy.

Having worked for most of my career in Sheffield, I have worked with many of your local GP surgeries and hospitals and have also worked as an upper limb specialist and FCP (First Contact Physiotherapist), directly working in GP surgeries to help provide first contact physio advice, triage and referral (where previously you may have discussed with your GP first before waiting for physio referral on the NHS).

I have attended a wide variety of post-graduate training courses, passing the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine membership exams and becoming a full member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. 

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and am a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, which is the regulatory body for the physiotherapy profession so you can be assured that you are in safe hands.

When I'm not working I love to spend time with my family, I have 2 grown up sons and I enjoy theatre, walking and skiing and am currently relandscaping my garden with "slightly" overoptimistic desire to produce a Chelsea Flower Show style garden!

Otherwise you'll often find me curled up with a good book and a glass of wine if I can find a quiet 1/2 hour!
